The Las Vegas Raiders visit the San Francisco 49ers at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday, November 8, at Levi's Stadium. San Francisco enters Sunday's matchup at 6-1 and has been priced as a substantial home favorite over 4-4 Las Vegas. San Francisco's 6-1 start has made the 49ers heavy favorites, but the total has risen despite their shortage of healthy receivers. A market that opened around 46.5 is now showing 51.5 to 52.5, even though San Francisco is missing several wide receivers. A total above 52 requires both offenses to finish drives efficiently, even if San Francisco controls field position and restricts Las Vegas' deep passing.

Odds and Line Movement

Market quotations documented November 7 show San Francisco -9.5 and total 52.5 at bet365; San Francisco -9.5 and total 51.5 at DraftKings. San Francisco opened near -8.5 and has reached -9.5 to -10, while the total moved up from approximately 46.5. The Under case uses the 52.5 bet365 line quoted November 7; DraftKings' 51.5 total leaves one point less margin for the same projected score. A half-point around a key spread margin or a total can change whether the same projected score covers a wager.

The 49ers' final injury list includes question marks in the secondary: Upton Stout, Nate Hobbs and Siran Neal were all questionable. Those cases could give Cousins more favorable coverage than expected. Yet the Raiders have their own defensive attrition with tackle Thomas Booker out and Darien Porter questionable. A weakened Las Vegas interior may make it easier for McCaffrey to sustain drives, although successful rushing also consumes clock. McCaffrey can move the chains on the ground, while Cousins can find Bowers underneath; those gains can consume several minutes without producing touchdowns.

Game Preview

Quarterback and Offensive Matchup

Brock Purdy has produced strong passing efficiency this season, and Christian McCaffrey remains capable of creating offense as both a runner and receiver. San Francisco's identity does not disappear because its receiver room has taken losses. Mike Evans, Christian Kirk and Deebo Samuel have been ruled out, however, removing several different skill sets from the perimeter and from designed touches. That changes how easily the 49ers can manufacture explosive passes. George Kittle and McCaffrey can absorb volume, but a more concentrated distribution is easier for a defense to anticipate.

The Raiders have an experienced quarterback in Kirk Cousins, and the passing game can be dangerous when he receives clean protection. Brock Bowers is a strong target between the numbers, while Ashton Jeanty creates a receiving outlet when the defense limits deeper routes. Las Vegas has been productive enough to make a double-digit spread uncomfortable, especially if it avoids giveaways. The question is whether the Raiders can consistently translate passing yardage into touchdowns against one of the league's more effective defensive units.

Defense, Injuries and Game Context

San Francisco has been particularly sound against the run, limiting successful carries and forcing opponents to build long sequences of efficient passes. That matters for Jeanty. If the Raiders' running game produces only small gains, Cousins must make more third-down throws without the benefit of credible play action. The 49ers also have reason to protect a lead by leaning into McCaffrey and shorter throws to Kittle. A game dominated by those possessions can move the clock quickly while still producing a comfortable home victory.

Las Vegas will likely need to challenge the 49ers' secondary because its most attractive route to an upset is sustained passing success. But the Raiders have also shown vulnerability to defensive disruption, and losing the field-position battle against San Francisco is dangerous. The 49ers may have enough points to lead in the third quarter without ever reaching the mid-30s. That is important for the total because an Under at 52.5 is plausible even with the favorite winning by multiple possessions.

The Raiders' offensive efficiency is likely to be uneven. Bowers can produce reliable chain-moving catches, but that does not guarantee the offense will reach the end zone after crossing midfield. San Francisco has permitted fewer than 20 points per game, and its ability to reduce explosive rushing plays changes the shape of drives. Las Vegas could accumulate respectable yardage while settling for field goals, an outcome that favors the Under more than the raw passing totals might suggest.

How the Matchup Could Unfold

The market's total adjustment is much more extreme than the side adjustment. San Francisco moved from around -8.5 toward -10, but the total added roughly six points from early quotes. The increase is notable because the 49ers' receiver losses became clearer as the week progressed. A 30-19 final produces 49 points, leaving three and a half points below bet365's quoted 52.5 total. A lower 51.5 quote is less comfortable, and the distinction should be maintained rather than rounding the numbers together.

Weather in Santa Clara appears favorable for offense, with mild conditions and limited wind. The Under case does not require rain or a compromised field. It instead depends on possession length, San Francisco's defensive resistance and fewer reliable big-play receivers for Purdy. A team can score 30 points with a steady offense, while the opponent's need to drive the length of the field still makes the combined total relatively difficult to clear.

One risk in the San Francisco passing plan is that the remaining receivers must handle roles usually spread among several specialists. Personnel losses can affect route spacing and blocking assignments, not merely the number of targets available. Purdy is well placed to adjust because Kittle and McCaffrey can work in multiple areas, but a compressed attack can take longer to progress downfield. That distinction matters against a total above 50.

Best Bet

Best Bet: Under 52.5 points (bet365 line, November 7)

The most serious threat is a series of quick scores or turnovers. Cousins can make aggressive throws when Las Vegas falls behind, and any interception returned for a touchdown would add points while saving offensive time. San Francisco also can score on McCaffrey's explosive plays. The prediction assumes conventional field position and a moderate number of possessions rather than multiple non-offensive touchdowns. A 30-19 outcome gives the 49ers a convincing win without requiring the offense to produce an unusually high scoring rate.

A San Francisco lead would allow more McCaffrey carries and shorter Kittle targets rather than a steady diet of sideline throws. Kittle's underneath work and McCaffrey's rushing touches offer a way to protect an advantage while minimizing risk. The more San Francisco can force Cousins into predictable throws, the more likely the fourth quarter becomes a clock-management exercise rather than a scoring race.

Prediction: San Francisco 49ers 30, Las Vegas Raiders 19.
