New York Giants vs Philadelphia Eagles Picks and Predictions for Sunday, November 8, 2026
The Giants travel to Philadelphia this Sunday for a divisional showdown at Lincoln Financial Field. FOX gets the broadcast honors for this 1:00 pm ET matchup. New York sits on top of the NFC East at 4-2-1, on a bye since an October 25 overtime thriller where they outlasted Houston 27-21. Philly is spiraling. Sitting dead last at 2-6, they just took a 27-10 beating from Washington, extending a miserable skid to five straight. Check out our free NFL picks for more weekend previews.
New York Giants Returning From Their Bye Week
That gritty 27-21 overtime win against Houston gave the Giants a nice feeling heading into their week off. They have put together a decent 2-1-1 stretch over their last four games, but a frustrating 34-27 loss to New Orleans proved they still struggle to put opponents away late. Seven games in, the defense has allowed 161 points, while the offense has put up 163. It is a razor-thin margin for error almost every single week, meaning Sunday will likely be another tight affair.
J.J McCarthy has 495 passing yards with one touchdown against one pick on a 63.3% completion rate. Malik Nabers is the go-to playmaker, racking up 48 receptions for 605 yards already. Tight end Isaiah Likely has been a weapon too, grabbing five touchdowns. Cam Skattebo handles the bulk of the run game with 418 yards, but a nagging hamstring makes his status up in the air. Over on defense, Arvell Reese anchors the group with 56 tackles, and Jevon Holland has locked down three interceptions.
Injuries: Tyrone Tracy Jr. is out. Theo Johnson, Cam Skattebo, Marcus Mbow and Greg Newsome II are questionable.

Philadelphia Eagles Searching for a Spark
Philadelphia's season keeps getting worse. Washington handed the Eagles a 27-10 defeat last Sunday, extending their losing streak to five games. The offense has scored just 17.1 points per contest, and the defense isn't holding up either, allowing 25.3 per game. Philadelphia has lost three straight at Lincoln Financial Field, including a 38-21 defeat to Dallas. A home game against the division-leading Giants offers a chance to turn things around, but the Eagles haven't shown much lately.
Jalen Hurts remains on injured reserve, leaving Tanner McKee as the team's main experienced passing option. McKee has thrown for 638 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in three appearances. Saquon Barkley has rushed for 274 yards on 56 carries, while DeVonta Smith leads the receivers with 310 yards despite playing only four games. Smith is questionable with a hamstring injury. On defense, Nolan Smith Jr. has four sacks, and Zack Baun leads Philadelphia with 58 tackles.
Injuries: Jalen Hurts is out. Dontayvion Wicks, DeVonta Smith, Jonathan Jones, Jihaad Campbell and Britain Covey are questionable.
Key To The Game
Philadelphia needs to make McCarthy uncomfortable. He's thrown one interception, and the Eagles have enough defensive talent to force mistakes. New York has more stability at quarterback right now. Hurts' absence also puts pressure on Philadelphia's running game to produce, especially if Smith can't play.
New York Giants vs Philadelphia Eagles Game Pick
- New York Giants -3.5
New York has played much better football recently, and the Giants should benefit from having an extra week to prepare for this division matchup. Philadelphia has dropped five straight, with its offense struggling badly since Hurts went on injured reserve. If McCarthy isn't careful with the football, it gives the Eagles a chance to hang around. But Nabers and Likely offer him enough options to attack a defense allowing more than 25 points per game. Philadelphia's home record doesn't offer much comfort, either. I expect another competitive NFC East game, with the Giants covering the 3.5-point spread.
New York Giants vs Philadelphia Eagles Over/Under Pick
- Under 39.5
Philadelphia's offense has struggled to reach the end zone, scoring 17 points or fewer in three of its last four games. Losing Hurts has made matters worse, and Smith's hamstring injury could leave the passing attack even shorter on options. New York has played in some high-scoring games, including its 34-27 loss to New Orleans, but the Giants also have reasons to keep things under control. Skattebo's uncertain status could change their rushing rotation. With Philadelphia averaging just 17.1 points, I'm expecting a lower-scoring game. Under 39.5 is my pick.
